Maury’s practice focuses primarily on commercial real estate, including representation of landlords and tenants in the leasing of retail, office and industrial properties. Maury has worked in commercial real estate for over two decades, representing clients in private law practice, serving as in-house counsel and chief operating officer for a regional commercial real estate company and serving as chief executive officer of a multifamily development company. Maury’s experience on the developer side gives him a unique understanding of a client’s perspective on a commercial real estate transaction. Maury advises clients on commercial lease negotiation, contract negotiation, property acquisition and disposition, business joint venture agreements and risk management.
Maury received a Bachelor of Arts from James Madison University and a Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law at American University, where he served as an editor on the Administrative Law Review and as a Dean’s Fellow for now-Congressman Jamie Raskin. Maury is a member of the Maryland Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
