Jonathon represents clients in commercial real estate transactions, with particular emphasis on leasing and the purchase and sale of office, retail, and industrial properties. His clients have included commercial property owners, tenants, lenders and asset managers of all types, including regional and national developers, investors, trustees, commercial banks, hospitality companies, restaurant operators and university and affiliated auxiliary organizations. He has represented landlords in retail and office leases with many national and regional retail and corporate tenants such as Amazon Studios, Landmark Theatres, Costco, Starbucks, Peet’s Coffee, Coffee Bean, Chipotle, Subway, Burger King, Habit Burger, Oggi’s Pizza & Brewing Company, Denny’s, Dunkin and Jimmy Johns, Chuck E. Cheese, Tortilla Factory, Epic Wings, Verizon, Everbowl, Wood Ranch, Eureka! Restaurants, El Pollo Loco, Jamba Juice, Freebirds, Smashburger, Flame Broiler, Jersey Mike’s, Chronic Tacos, Which Wich, Chase Bank, Capital Bank, Banfield Pet Hospital, Dixieline, and many others. He also has extensive experience representing tenants in retail leases, particularly restaurant leases, and office and industrial leases, including pharmaceutical companies in the lease of office, lab and manufacturing space, and the subsequent licensing of office and shared lab space for life science incubator programs.
Jonathon received a Bachelor of Arts, Liberal Studies, Magna cum laude, from California State Polytechnic University, and a Juris Doctor and Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. He is admitted to practice in California and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
